Training and support
Training is what makes the tools sustainable
Digital Muirkirk is not just about giving groups tools. It is about helping people feel confident using them.
Training could include

- Using Google Drive safely

- Managing calendar entries
- Avoiding phishing and scams
- Passwords and account recovery
- Basic cyber hygiene
- Supporting new volunteers
- Handover when committee members change
Train-the-trainer
Build local confidence
The aim is to build local confidence and reduce long-term dependence on outside help. By training a small number of people to support others, Digital Muirkirk can create practical community technical knowledge that stays in Muirkirk.
Where training could happen
Online, small local sessions, or suitable venues
Training could happen online, in small local sessions, or in suitable community venues. The Hub may be a useful venue for occasional sessions if agreed, but Digital Muirkirk should not currently be described as being hosted by or delivered through the Hub.
- Venue use is subject to agreement
- No current Hub delivery claim
- Training remains essential wherever it happens
